Frequently Asked Questions
Watch this video to learn what to expect when playing our games

Q. Are Think Inside the Box games right for me?

We want this game to be a positive experience for you. We realize that the box might not be designed for everyone. To play our games, one person in your group should be comfortable with the following:

  • Reading written instructions (black on white)

  • Lifting 10 lb

  • See colours and patterns

  • Using combination locks (padlocks)

  • Using keys to open locks

  • Turn and maneuver dials

If you are unsure if this activity is right for you or have any additional questions you would like to ask, please reach out to us. We would love to hear from you.

Q. How early should I book?

Generally speaking, the sooner, the better. We accept last minute orders but if you have a specific date in mind, let us know to secure it for you. Generally, we require 24 hours notice, but get in touch if you need one sooner!

Q. Do you have a cancellation policy?

Yes. The sooner you let us know you would like to cancel, the better. If you end up cancelling a booking less than 24 hours prior to the set date, you will be reimbursed for %50 of the charge.

Q. Does the price include delivery?

Yes, if you live on the Halifax peninsula, we will cover the cost of sending the box to you. You are in charge of getting the box back to us. You can drop off the box yourself or send it with a taxi. If this is not possible we can pick up the box for an additional fee.

If you live outside the Halifax peninsula you are welcome to pick up a box directly from us. Otherwise, an extra charge will be added according to where you live.

Q. Does the box fit in a car?

Yes! Each box is roughly 25x20x25 inches and will fit in a standard car trunk or the back seat.  For example, we have fit the box in its case into the trunk of a small hatchback.

Q. What should I do if the box breaks?

Our games are made from durable materials and should not break with reasonable use. We recommend the "finger rule"—if a piece doesn't move when pushed with one finger, it's not supposed to move! If an accident occurs, and a piece of the box breaks while playing, please call us and let us know. Do not attempt to repair the box yourself.

If you have any other questions we would love to connect over phone or email.
